Short sleeves are better

I got my little man a new Sunday shirt from a thrift store. However, he is very picky and apparently didn't like the long sleeves. So I just kept letting him ware his "too small" shirt. But it got to a point when I had to do something. So... I cut the sleeves off and hemmed them. It made a complete difference for him. I'm glad I did it, and it was easy too!

Tic - Tac - Toe

My little lady was invited to a friends birthday party. I decided to make the gift. It was fun and easy to make. A Tic - Tac - Toe game that is a draw string bag to hold all the X's and O's.

Now I just need to make one for MY little lady to take to church!

Game Day

We are big BYU football fans!! And today is game day. I made my little man his shirt for him to show his support. Also, so he could look just like his daddy!!
I used my Silhouette to create the design and then cut it out of freezer paper. Next, I ironed it onto the shirt and colored it in with a fabric marker. After I let it dry over night I ironed it again to set the ink.
You should have seen his face when I showed it to him...sheer excitement!!!

Baby shower gift

I went to a baby shower for my cousin the other day. I wanted to make the gifts. So I made this fun giraffe toy. It's really soft on one side. I also made a tutu onesie and forgot to take a picture but it turned out really cute.

Dress for me

I'm so excited for this dress I'm making for myself! I don't usually sew with fancy fabric, so we will see how it goes.

Gifts

I love sewing gifts! I made this for my sister-in-law. It was very fun and easy to make. And she LOVES it!!!

I didn't start talking until I was 7

My mom had 4 kids under the age of 5, a long brake and then 3 more kids, and I was number 4. So, I had 3 siblings older then me that had a lot to say. The story goes like this: when I was little my older siblings always talked for me. They always knew what I wanted, so they would be the ones to voice it. Until one day when I was about 7 years old, I walked into the kitchen and started talking to my mom. She was surprised and wondered when I had learned to talk.

I hope that's not how it really happened, but it explains why I'm so quiet. When I have something to say, I say it. But most of the time I'm quiet. This blog is going to document all my sewing and crafting and anything else I feel like. I will not type long post, but I do have a lot to show. I'm excited to begin!!
